Knightsbridge generated incredible interest and tabled 5 offers for a marketing specialist… Sara Thomasson, Knightsbridge Operations Director, led the sale of OggaDoon Limited, describing our client as “a reputable PR and digital media marketing agency with a remarkable portfolio”. The Bristol-based company was founded by Caroline MacDonald, who has managed OggaDoon since its inception. The name was registered in 2005 and became fully operational in 2012. OggaDoon has experienced considerable growth since its foundation, with the strength of its workforce, portfolio and service offering providing an ideal platform from which it can pursue further expansion. Its reputation has diminished the requirement for any proactive sales or marketing activity, with new sales primarily being generated via word-of-mouth and referrals. Caroline decided the time was right to capitalise, due to a recent increase in turnover and gross profit, collectively adding up to £1million. With these opportunities and figures highlighted for potential buyers, OggaDoon was listed on the market to facilitate growth under the impetus of new ownership. Monumental interest was generated by Knightsbridge, bringing forward no less than 184 interested parties. A testament to the company’s selling points and how the team presented them. In all, 41 meetings were conducted with the most compatible and serious of acquirers, which in turn led to five competing offers being submitted for Caroline to choose from. OggaDoon was ultimately sold in a significant deal to Dynamic Sports Marketing, a company based in Chepstow, Wales, and part of the Elite Sports Marketing UK group. The company works with sporting organisations, sports clubs, and companies, to help create and build successful commercial partnerships. It sources new kit sponsors, partners and advertisers, whilst offering support with media, social media and marketing. OggaDoon will step in to provide the latter of the services mentioned, but will continue to act as a standalone company under Caroline’s leadership. We wish the very best for the future!
