Knightsbridge has advised on the sale of Norris Brothers Garages, a long-established, family-run used car and van dealership based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The business is well known locally for offering a broad range of vehicles to suit all budgets, alongside servicing, repairs and MOTs for all makes of cars and vans.

Founded in 1959, Norris Brothers Garages has evolved significantly over more than six decades of trading. Having originally operated as an agent for selected manufacturers, including Peugeot, the company transitioned into an independent all-makes dealership in 2012, with a clear focus on quality used vehicle sales.

The business has been owned by Paul Norris alongside fellow shareholders Richard, Robert and Mark Norris, who collectively built a strong regional reputation and loyal customer base. The decision to sell was made as part of planned retirement, with a priority placed on finding buyers capable of continuing the business’s legacy.

The sale was led by Knightsbridge Operations Manager Sara Manville, who oversaw a high level of buyer interest throughout the process. A total of 35 enquiries were generated, resulting in four formal offers and a successful sale to ideal buyers, completed for a significant fee.

Norris Brothers Garages was acquired by Nicholas Scott, an experienced motor trade operator who already runs three other local motor companies, alongside Philip Taylor. Their acquisition provides continuity for customers while positioning the business for its next phase under experienced ownership.

Knightsbridge wishes Paul, Richard, Robert and Mark Norris all the best in retirement and future ventures, and every success to Nicholas Scott and Philip Taylor as they take the business forward.
