Knightsbridge drew on a repeat buyer for the sale of GT Building Services…

Our client has earned a reputation for quality and reliability across South West England and South Wales. Established in 1993 by Gary and Susan Turner, the family-run firm delivers expert heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions for a diverse client base.

Renowned for its technical capability and client care, the business provides installation, servicing and maintenance for systems of all types, including gas, oil and electric. Its personal, responsive approach has ensured long-standing relationships and steady, sustainable growth.

When the Turners sought to step back and plan for the future, Knightsbridge was appointed to identify a buyer who shared their values. The process, led by Senior Deal Executive Jennifer Morley and Regional Commercial Director Martin Baars, drew strong interest from the market.

In total, 42 parties registered interest, 20 undertook viewings and six formal offers were received. This competitive response reflected the strength of the business and its reputation for consistent service delivery and specialist expertise within the HVAC sector.

The successful buyer, Canonbury Group, is a London-based investment firm co-founded by Daniel Lee and Alex Collins in 2019. Operating from Islington, the group specialises in the holding and management of companies and enterprises across property and technical services.

Canonbury Group is a repeat buyer with Knightsbridge, having previously acquired two businesses in property management and fire safety consultancy. The addition of GT Building Services further strengthens its portfolio of service-led companies with strong regional foundations.

Under new ownership, GT Building Services is well placed to build on its established heritage. The acquisition ensures continuity for clients and staff while providing a platform for growth and innovation that honours the family values instilled since 1993.
