Advantos Holding Acquires Calidore Computer Systems IT Software & Support Company
We oversaw the sale of Calidore Computer Systems, learning of its fate in the process… Established in 1989, Calidore is a long-established supplier of cloud-based business software solutions. It has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in everything IT and everything business supplies. Based in Gateshead, the company operates nationally and internationally, providing office product dealers with an integrated solution, allowing companies to control entire businesses and e-commerce services from a single solution. Facilitating the owners’ retirement plans, Operations Director Sara Thomasson set out to find the best possible buyer. Enter: Advantos Holding Ltd. Established in London in 2021, it operates as a collection of senior executives. The acquisition of Calidore allows the company to expand even further across the UK. As part of Advantos’ strategy, Calidore has been merged with York-based Human Computer Interaction (HCI), an earlier acquisition. Richard Olds, Calidore Director, expressed his thoughts: “Calidore will now be able to offer our state-of-the-art Software for the Office Supplies Industry with a new feature-rich, dedicated, integrated website, as well as enhanced capability to deliver bespoke websites and complex data architecture. We are now able to develop our current and new solutions rapidly in-house given HCI’s expertise in the field.”
